How To Minimize The Plastic Shrinkage Cracking :

• Several Precaution can be taken to minimize it's occurrence
• PSC does occur during finishing, the finisher may be able to close them by refinishing the surface
• When adverse condition exist, erect wind break to reduce wind velocity over the surface of concrete and if possible provide sunshade to control surface temperature
• Dampen the subgrade, formwork and refinforcement
• Cover the concrete with moisture retaining covering such as wet hessian cloth, plastic sheet etc
• Start curing the concrete as soon as possible
• If the area where there are sign of cracking could be re-toweled with wooden float in clockwise fashion, may close the cracks
• Use systhentic fibers to help resist PSC
